Post subject:  More Fishing Videos

Here's a few more fishing video clips. If you have a broadband internet connection or you have a few minutes to download with your dialup connection, the MPEG files are better quality. The Windows Media Files are smaller, but the quality is not as good as the MPEGs.

MPEG Clips:
Carlsbad Cuda 4.3MB
Sunrise Calico 3.9MB
Sunrise White Seabass 6.2MB

Windows Media Clips:
Carlsbad Cuda 1MB
Sunrise Calico 1.1MB
Sunrise White Sea Bass 1.2MB

This is not a fishing video, but a pretty cool sunrise:
Sunrise Paddle 4.5MB MPEG
Sunrise Paddle 2.0MB WMV

WOW!! They just keep getting better! Thanks for posting more videos Ronbo. They are so cool, I have to wonder why I haven't seen anyone else do that. You apparently rigged your camera out on a pole of some sort and it's way different since it gives the perspective of the viewer riding alonside in another kayak. Made me want to reach for my gaff! I haven't been able to get out on the kayak for some time as I'm healing a broken leg so I'm fishing vicariously through your videos. BTW, those were some nice fish, particularly the bass.
Just curious, how do you control the camera with it out on a pole?

The videos were shot with a remote camera on a boom that is connected to a VCR. The hardest part is keeping water spots off the camera. With salt water, even when you wipe it off with a clean, dry cloth(not an easy thing to have on hand in a kayak), it "smears". A real pain.
I was hoping to do a lot better this season but it has been the slowest fishing season in more than 10 years, throw in the red tide which made it very difficult to get bulk footage. The fishing on San Diego and Mission Bay is looking good so maybe I can make up for it there. Of course, it's raining, and we all know what that means here in SD County.
