I bought a Outback a couple months ago. I'm just now starting to get use to the mirage drive, but I've really started to take a liking to the hands free fishing.
We to a local lake yesterday to do a little bass fishing. I thought I would share.

Shaun, Looks like you had a good outing. See you are using the horizontal rod holder, but looks like only the front "tip" protector. No need for the rear one? How do you like it so far? |

I'm absolutely loving the horizontal holders. They work better then I expected. I really like the fact that they can keep the rods close at hand but yet not in the way of business. I mounted just the front piece for now. This weekend I'll mount the rear cradle to on side and see if I like it. Right now I have the rods secured at the rear by the paddle strap. It might be nice to have a cradle holding the rods in place instead of a strap that has to be taken undone every time I'm wanting a rod. |

Nice Bass! Is that a man made resevoir you are fishing in? I ask because it looks like a single tree standing in the water in the background. |

Yea, It was taken at Ray Roberts lake here in north Texas. There are a ton of trees on half of the lake that were left when they flooded the lake in the early 90's. It makes for some great bass habitat. |
