Got my new Revolution rigged just in time for the New England Kayak Fishing Mass. Bay Striper Shootout III. Hooked up with this beautiful cow on the first night of the tournament.

Was able to hang on to take the second place slot in the open division. She's a new personal best for me at 45.5".
I was/am pretty pumped as you can probably tell from the grin. Looking forward to what's next.

Thanks... Hey Apalach, ever fished around Tampa bay? My folks winter just out of Tampa. I'm giving some thought to heading down there for a very long weekend, or maybe a week around the holidays. Might want to rent a yak and wet a line. I've always wanted to take bull red and snook. Wonder if you can tell me anything about that area, and what's going on at that time of year? Thanks for any info you could possibly share.

Rick (aka Yakbutt) :)

Hey YB,
Haven't fished down there, but a good person to ask is Terri over on KFS. She fishes all over that area. In fact the KFS (KayakFishingStuff.com) Florida Forum is a good place to start.

Also check out the Cenral Florida Kayak Anglers club in the Tampa area. Have fun.
