Hello all, I took my new Passport 10.5 out (for the first time) with the sail kit installed and sadly the mast receiver / tube accessory mount broke right at shore when the kayak tipped over. The wind was only 10+ miles an hour, but I hadn’t connected the shock cord (I didn’t discover what it was for until afterwards). I have since purchased the AMA sidekick and am waiting to receive a tube accessory mount replacement from Hobie (the part is on backorder).

I’m hoping someone on the forum might have suggestions on how to “upgrade” the part with something more durable in the event it happens again.

Thanks
