I have a 2006 Mirage Adventure and I recently bought a sail kit, daggerboard, and large rudder. The daggerboard does not seem to fit tightly into the slot and immediately starts move back (so the board comes up to the bottom of the kayak. Is it necessary to tie in the daggerboard to the clamp the holds in the foam insert to keep it in place or was the daggerboard redesigned after 2006 so that the current daggerboard does not fit the 2006 model.

Thanks so much.

There is supposed to be a short shock cord on the board. That feeds through an eye close to the board and then hooks to a fitting further aft. This keeps the board down.

Thanks for the quick reply!!

I just received the daggerboard from Austin Kayak and it didn't include the cord or any instructions on how to use it. I will contact them to see if they can ship me a cord.
