Reading the posts it seems that people have used 30" and the longer 40 or 45 inch arms.
Was thinking the 45's might be better as mentioned in a post above pretty much the ratio of the Adventure Island.

Any advice or comments appreciated

Because I made my own I made them adjustable in two in increments. So from flush with the side of the PA14 to having the outside of the float at 5 feet from the center of the boat for extreme stability.

Thanks for the input I am assuming that at five foot it does not over stress the bar to hull connection?

I was thinking wider was better all things being equal I like your concept of adjustable arms
