Anyone try putting the TI larger sail on the AI? Is it possible? Maybe not a good idea but always looking for more horsepower on my AI.

It can and has been done, but there are some problems. First, the shorter length of the AI means that the deeper TI sail results in an odd angle from the clew through the main sheet to the rear of the boat. This can create some sail shape issues. Also, you're putting a lot more pressure on a mast receiver that is lower than that on the TI and is therefore not as capable of handling the increased power of the larger sail. You'll need to go to the longer mast as well, and reposition the furling drum.

So in your opinion it is not worth upgrading? It's just that I usually use my AI on smaller freshwater lakes loaded down with camping supplies and it seems to be under sailed!
