I've got a 2005 Hobie Mirage Outback Hank Parker. I've got the sail kit and have used it for 2 years now on Lake Erie. I was wondering if adding the AMA Sidekick kit would enable be to sail it beyond the original wind parameters for the sail kit, i.e., can I go out in brisker wind without worrying about capsizing. Also, has anyone had any problems mounting the brackets behind the seatback without blocking the storage well aft of the seat?

Yes, the SideKick will help you feel more comfortable and save you from most capsize situations.

The kit does block the cooler area a bit, but can be mounted in many different locations with similar results for sailing.
