Very nice indeed! Non-standard sail is interesting. Any more info?

Thanks, its a Star Kayak Sail, works very well indeed, (optional Boom stowed on bow deck.)

Different sizes available, taller, true airfoil shaped, same cost, great customer service.

Are you using a dagger board?

Any idea of the safe max speeds you can get to?

Yes, one of the reasons I upgraded from a 13' to the new 16 is because it will sail upwind with its dagger board and it is only 3.5Kg heavier than my old 13'.

Speeds I havent checked on this one but I think it does 7-8MPH in perfect conditions.

I need the Stabilizers even though they cause drag because I am on the Pacific coast and we get a good 15 knots every day, plus my bad back stops me leaning much.

One day I might attach the FINN AMA's and then I will prolly sell my AI2 as it is getting a bit heavy. http://www.finnkayaks.com/galleries/outriggers/

IMO the stabilizers work better for sailing if you can mount them up front and this allows you to paddle also. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQN_38n2F7M

Just remember they are light alloy and can snap off if you tackle too strong waves and wind, you would be amazed how fast the jettisoned Airbag blows away over the horizon... :P
