Enhanced rudder designs for sailing the outback were offered in previous year models. I can't find any offerings for the new Outback or other sail capable mirage models. Why ?

The rudders on newer models are not compatible with larger versions in that the rudders would be too large for the cavity they sit in when stowed. The ends would stick out and be more easily damaged.

There are some mods being done for other models that might relate. Here is one: https://www.hobie.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=138&t=64523
