Post subject:  Cam cleat on a Revo 11?

I'm debating whether or not to add a cam cleat as I've recently added the sail kit and only been sailing twice so far. I've did add a simple block at the stern for the mainsheet, and intent to add one in the cockpit so I can 'pull' the mainsheet, rather than 'push it'.

As for a cam cleat, I don't want to put it on the rail, as I typically cartop the boat upside-down. Consequently, I'm considering adding a cleat the first foot well spot (the closest one to the seat).

Has any with a Revo 11 added a cleat somewhere other than the rail?

How about adding a low profile scotty track (or something similiar), then fashion a block of wood that will fit on a t-bolt, and then mount your cleat on top of the wood? That way you can remove the cleat 'block' easily when transporting

I mount all my kayaks gunwale down and they have numerous low profile tracks and they don't seem to be a bother. I use a Hullavator though, it may depend on your mounting system.

Just a thought
