Recently my book assembly “disappeared” and I am having a heck of a time finding another. Does anyone know of the actual dimensions of the boom so I can possibly change out for another model? Think the 18 may be able to be used on the 20. Any advice would be great.

I think the 18 boom should work. From what I recall, the foot of the 18 mainsail is longer than the 20 (20 has a higher aspect ratio rig).

You may want to reinforce (double up) the main block hanger if using the 18 boom. The 20 runs higher mainsheet load than the 18, so I could see the block hanger potentially failing (probably unlikely, but….).

Appreciate the info. More or less what I was thinking so I’m glad to have someone agree. I think I found a book from a miracle 20 so I should be good now. We actually sailed around for a couple hours Sunday with no boom. Wind wasn’t much so wasn’t a big deal, but would have been a chore if it was blowing. Thanks again for the help.
