Why was the cable for the jib blocks replaced with the spectra line? It seems like the spectra line loads up the jib block cars and makes it hard to move them. I'm considering reinstalling the cable for the jib cars. Bad idea? Thanks,

I don't know Hobie's reason, but ours was the result of the cable fraying and the subsequent piercings. As for moving the jib blocks, we don't move ours with the jib under load.

The Spectra "can" load up the cars, but just avoid over tensioning. The loads would be no different from wire when properly installed.

Much easier on the knees.
