I have just started racing a 20 and have heard there are different options for the jib traveller?

Apparently the original option was a cable. My boat has a strap separated by multiple rings to change position - my crew is bruised and battered from the weekend from catching herself on the strap.

Are people using dyneema now? What diameter? Am I allowed to set up with just one ring as I don't need the adjustability?

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Everything is good...

Yes you can use one ring, I use3/16" dyneema, and haven't had an issue, but I also have a few strands running to help get it tight.

I know many top H20 racer's that have it set in one spot and just use the barber hauler or hands to work the jib.
