I want to make a self tacking mount for a Speedpuck. I tried to make a mount for the front of the boom that used the rotator arm so the display would always face the crew. I got the idea from the cat sailor web site. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work. I'm having trouble securing the pivot to the boom. One other idea I had was to mount a Speedpuck to each side of the boom. Expensive.

I am curious to hear what other people have done to put a GPS on their boat. Thanks,

Don't use one, but I've seen folks mount them forward of the crossbars, on a spinnaker pole, or the bridles.

Got a spinnaker? https://www.velasailingsupply.com/velocitek-speedpuck-spinnaker-pole-bracket/?gclid=CJn-58PApdQCFVFsfgod8msMBg

For that matter, you could just rig one to an expandable boathook pole and run it a couple feet forward of the mast. Just like I do with my gopros
