| Post subject: | New Sail: No Bag or Telltales? |
Just received my new white H20 main and purchased a new jib last year, in both cases neither sail came with tell tales or a new bag. Are these items not included with the most expensive set of sails Hobie sells? In the last three year i have bought new Hobie sails for my H16 and H14 both which included them. Why would these be any different? |

The H20 set is made by a different loft and they do not include a bag in the cost. |

Really? You guys got me feeling like a real fool. last year six members of the Charleston 20 fleet did a group buy for a set virtually identical to Hobie sails at $1800 a piece from SLO. Some how they were able to include a high quality bag and tell tales. I elected to save up and pay twice as much because I take my boat to HCANA events and I thought in the end Hobie would provide a better product. The fact that you would exclude such an inexpensive yet crucial elements gives me great confidence in the investment I've made... |

Has more to do with factory direct sale vs supplier / dealer / retail sale. SLO is factory direct so has much more room to work with pricing. We support a dealer network which means we all share the margins at every turn. |
