Comparing the H20 parts guide to my H20, it looks like the previous owner installed the Jib Cars backwards. Pic is looking forward on the starboard side.

Is there any reason they would do this?

Also, the parts guide lists a Jib Block Wire for boats above SN CM0191XXXX. My boat HN is CCMP0642C000. Am I looking at the wrong number? And should the Spectra line be very tight? It seems like the jib/tramp track is getting pulled away from the hulls from the tension.

I'm guessing the Jib Sheet Adjustment Line should be on top of the tramp tunnel, not through it? At least the part with the bungee that attaches to the jib sheet blocks.

I agree, the cars look backwards. The adjustment line will interfere with the jib blocks/block attachment line.

Our boat had a stainless wire, not a spectra cord for attaching the blocks. The cord is probably strong enough, but not sure how long it will hold up to the wear of having the blocks slide along it. The attachment lind does not need to be super tight. If you make it too tight, it will make the cars difficult to slide in the tracks.

The jib sheet cleats should be on the rope in front... yes this is backwards.

Anything on my other questions, Matt?

Thanks,
Rick

Not Matt, but to answer your other questions-

The routing of the adjustment line (inside or outside the tunnel) is personal preference. You generally will not be adjusting the jib travelers frequently. You set them for the prevailing conditions and leave them unless conditions change. So having the line routed inside the tunnel will make adjusting a little less convenient, but will reduce the line clutter on the deck.

Regarding the static tension of the attachment line, as I said before, if you make it too tight, it will be hard to adjust the fore/aft position of the jib leads since the tension on the line will cause the cars to bind in the tracks. If the jib tracks are pulling away from the hull, it is not being cause by the static tension on the line. The tension created by the jib sheet load is much higher. But from what I see in the pictures, it doesn't look like the track is out of position much, if at all.

Spectra is the last thing that was stock. It can be loose as mentioned.
