I'm replacing old H20 rudders with new H16 blades. Any installation advise welcome. Thanks.

Are you using the new EPOs? Let us know how they work.

Use one of the old rudders as a drill guide. Line up the rudder tips. Line up the upper back corner of the blade as well. Make sure the leading edge that contacts the casting is lined up as this is what lines up your rudder rake. If this is off, you will need to file or fill the area to make the rudder lock down right.

My advice would be don't race in the midwest, I'll protest you

There's a note/blurb somewhere about testing of this "concept" to be done this year (can't find it), prior to a pending IHCA rule change and subsequent vote.

By the way, are you using glass/carbon/epoxy blades? Don't use the nylon/lexan/plasic blow molded blades. These blow molded blades are too flexible and will not allow your boat to perform as intended.
