| Post subject: | Volunteer Needed to Help Manage 2008 Regattas |
Fellow Crew and Skippers, Dennis Key, multihull fleet captain from Mission Bay Yacht Club, is looking for a volunteer to help him plan and manage the regattas for the catamaran fleet. This job would be great experience for someone (especially a university student) looking for recreation management or event management experience. Some of the following duties will be performed: * attending regatta planning meetings with Dennis * verifying necessary information such as notice of race and entries are available to competitors * streamlining the regatta registration process * modernizing event tracking and communication with participants * organizing a marketing schedule and contact list Dennis has a background in trade-show graphics and promotions. He actively competes in Hobie Tiger and Formula 18 catamaran regattas on the west coast and nationally.
