Can anyone send a pic or diagram of the new mount point for the spin blocks? Even measurements would help i want to relocate my old style blocks for the new spins. Thanks |

Spinnaker blocks on my 2006 Tiger with "new" spinnaker cut attach via shackles to a loop of line between two grommets along the side edge of the trampoline, approximately even with the front of the daggerboard trunk. If you would like to see a photo, I guess you can send a message to me with your email address, and I'll email it to you? Or, tell me where on the Web I can post the photo? (I don't know of anyplace, after looking a bit.) Or how? If the measurements would be helpful, let me know, and I'll swing by the storage yard to measure. |

Here are two pictures for you, The positioning is based on measurements taken from a new '07 and from what the fatory told the dealer. One picture shows the old eye strap aft of the new one which has the ratchet block on it now. |

In addition; you can reach your arm down the forward inspection port, reaching aft. On one side of the daggerboard well you will find a small bracing. The bracing will only be on one side or the other of the daggerboard well. Just forward of this is where you want to have the eye-strap bolts. |

I'm finally going to permanently mount my spin blocks in the new position. I'm also going to remove the eye straps from their original spot, fill in the holes and re-mount. My question is what is the thru-hull backing for the original eyestraps? Is it nuts and washers or an imbedded, tapped plate? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks. John |

When I did mine I drilled the holes and then backed it with a stainless plate. Once everything fit I sika flexed the plate in place and tightened up the bolts. I left the old eyes in place. |

Rich, I did an inspection (using a mirror and flashlight) through the forward port of the inside of the hull to see where/how the original spin eyestrapes are mounted. There is a backing plate that the screws thread into. But that backing plating straddles a bulkhead. Have you experienced any cracking or weakness after you re-located yours? How big was your backing plate? Just curious. Thanks, John |

3" by 2" stainless thin enough to bend into shape. then I used washers to hold the plate. I have seen no effects on the deck area. |
