Awesome. Now get all your Tiger/Wildcat friends to go too. We really should try to have a huge Hobie turnout, since some of the other Manufacturers are coming out in force.

Yea, that was a nice turnout down there. We just need to have a good showing in MA and to do that, we gotta pre-plan. Have a nice drive? Glad to be back in Hell? IT is -2 right now.

I flew home. Left the truck and boats in Clearwater. I'm going to fly back down and hit the charlotte harbor regatta, then enjoy the 28 hour drive home.

It's gonna be awesome guys, the local F18 fleet is a really great group of guys and gals. Im going to be helping with finding people lodging, if they aren't going to tent it, more on that later. The fleet is one of the biggest in the US, probably at least 20 at some races, maybe more this year. It's gonna be a good time and I can't wait! :P

Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't the F18 class rather staunch on not posting manufacturers in results?

I don't typically see boat manufacturers mentioned, sometimes in European regattas, but I digress. I still think it doesnt matter that much what you're sailing, rather HOW you're sailing it. Perfect example, Mischa winning the Can F18 championship on a borrowed 2005 Tiger

Bob Merrick, 16 sailor got the spin bug. If it could happen to him, I guess it could happen to anyone.

Hmmmm...check out the preliminary schedule of events. 4 days of racing (Tuesday thru Friday) and awards dinner on Saturday. I'm OK with a four day event but the Saturday awards dinner cuts into weekend travel time. Maybe get the HYC organizers to re-think this strategy and give out the awards at the closing dinner on Friday? Just my 2 cents.

I would seriously doubt that we'll have much influence on their schedule, but I am hoping to talk to C.Cooper (the head guy) in the near future and I'll let him know what you think on that.
MY mission, is to organize a strong Hobie presence at the regatta and I figure if we start early, we'll have better luck.

It had more to do with the good fleet close to home and a great teammate to partner with.
Liza and I will be back in the 16 this summer as well.
