Since new our Tiger has taken a small amount of water (approx 1 cup) per hull when we sail it. We re-sealed the beam bolts at the start of last season and this didn't make any difference. I ran a quick but inconclusive soapy water/ Hair dryer test the other day. Which will need to be repeated when I've got more time available. To help me narrow it down where have other people had leaks? |

I actually had a seam fail where the deck attaches to the hull. I did not even see it. Pete Melvin, while walking around my boat, thought that the gap was too big. We took a sharp object and it poked right through. It was about 2 feet long. I sealed it by jamming screwdrivers in there to make the gap large enough to get some resin mixed with coloidal silica. I glopped it in there. When I pulled the prys out I put some weight on top to keep the deck down and cleaned off excess. I get water when it is really windy now but have not yet taken the air and soap to it. I will this weekend, now that I remember. Later, Dan |
