After a few years sailed with much pleasure on our Tiger
Whe traded the Tiger in for a Wildcat

End march we Go to Hobiecat holland and trailer the Wildcat to our club
Can,t wait untill the sailing season start
And our new 2009 (with 2010 upgrades ) Wildcat

Make sure the Tiger finds a home with someone eager to jump into F18 sailing. Such a great first F18.

Congrats on the new Wildcat. A nice step up from the Tiger.
Remember to get the boards up about 6 inches to a foot as the wind gets up to double trap conditions. Also they need to come up half way in single trap conditions downwind.

Also when the boat is derigged you can use the boom across the bows to hold the spin pole up.

Already sailed some times on the wildcat ,and busy to make it faster for us
Less mastrake (from 16 cm now 9 cm under the transom and trying next weeks 7 cm ) ,playing around with the shrouds and dimond tension

Wonderful pics of your Wildcat thanks for posting!

Just wondering how much of a difference between a Wildcat & the Tiger, we have a Tiger and thinking of upgrading. Is Wildcat much different to sail/and is speed noticably faster? We havent sailed one to compare with. Cheers Clarence

If you can sail a tiger a Wildcat isn,t that much different

A little more volume at the back and something flatter/wider so a little more surfing onthe waves

The big difference was for me the steering ,like from a normal car to a car with power steering

The first days sailing everytime i looked back a made some S S course changes in the wather
Because of the bigger rudders

The speed is a little faster than the Tiger

But with winds 5 bft and gusts i didn,t figure it out yet (the Infusions i,m racing against ,on my club are still faster then )

What do you think about a Tiger with the WildCat rudder system?
Think it would be worth it? I can't get a price from my dealer and tired of waiting. I've heard it's around $1600
Might call up Mikey at Surf City.

Hey Gonzalo,
I'm having a great time on the Tiger. It's been a year now and time for the new sails. Then the WC rudders.
I don't think the daggers make that much difference. I did install the "up f_cker" on my port daggerboard and it works great!!!
How is your custom SuperTiger? Still hanging with the Infusions, C2's and Phantoms?

Well, the big diference is the mast, the new infusion mast, and F18 sails!!
The ruders make a huge diference Too.
The dagger boards, are increible too, because they are more aerodinamic, harder, and longer, they help too, but the modification , is more dificult, to instal them.
I sold my boat a month ago, naw i have a Phantom.
I can say this about the tiger, in straight line, i think my tiger is the fastest machine in the plantet, BUT!!! whit the gennaker the handle is more dificult, and no so fast, but whit a lot of training, i can go side to side whit a MKII
A year ago, in my city, we were training together whit a Phantom, in it, where the argentine champion(f18), and Pan american Laiser Gold medal girl, in my tiger where me and and Olimpic Italian from 49 sx. Phantom whit new sails, i was whit Mischa 2010 Wildcat Sails ( black ones ) result....straigh line, Tiger first, Gennaker.........side to side. But whit waves....the phantom go much better....Much!!!

beautiful sail, now to address that jib! just kidding. how much does your new sponsor pay you?
I'm trying to get a lightly used Glaser Spinnaker for my Tiger. Should be able to reach higher. Can't wait!
