Post subject:  What helm is fastest downwind

With the spin up is it better for speed to have neutral helm or have the spin slightly pulling the bows downwind? Excluding the safety aspect of having some downwind helm. Just assuming having some helm doesn't benefit you the same way downwind it does upwind and that it would only be added drag.

I'm interested in hearing replies to this as well. In my experience (different (slower) boats), there isn't much helm difference downwind that I have been able to discern. Lift boards some, sail flat, head up to heat up, fall off, repeat...that's what I've done over the years with some success. A lot of course selection is related to wind speed and current, tho.
