Post subject: | Wildcat front crossbeam end caps loose |
I bought a Wildcat this spring and both front crossbeam end caps are loose. It seems like those have been glued before, is this the correct method for mounting them or should there be some inner part inside the crossbeam where the end caps are to be attached? If not, what is the preferred way to mount these end caps? Thanks in advance! |

They do use sikaflex to mount the end caps - and I believe pop a couple of small aluminum rivets. Shouldn't be difficult to tight them up - there' likely no risk of them popping out since all the downhaul and jib sheets are run internal and are under tight bungee tension as well. |

There are no rivets. The end caps are just thin plates and I'm wondering, what has been the original idea of mounting them. In my boat those have been tried to glued with some epoxy but obviously it has not been very good solution. I haven't been able to find out any information from the manuals how these are thought to be mounted. |
