I broke 2 main halyards this weekend. :evil:

First one I could not get the main to lift to unhook my guess is I put 300 pounds force to it when it snapped

2nd was the next day hoisting I probably was putting 80 pounds pressure on an older main halyard off a H20 and it snapped when I had 2 more feet to hoist. I really used the McLube and still snap. Both time I had to lay the boat on its side to hook and unhook.

Question does the pulley at the top of mast have bearing or does it just spin on a pin?
