We know you're out there.... Let's see the Tiger class respond and show up in numbers. We're not that far from California, and I am the wrong person to complain to about travelling distances as i have covered over 28,000 miles for 5 NA events. This one is an 30 min drive for me. You'll love the wind and water, and the location is beautiful. Ask anybody up here in the Northwest.

So where are the rest of the Tigers? :?

Nobody up for the challange? :shock:

We have 6 Tigers registered now, ALL FROM DIVISON 4. And more to come from here or so i'm told.

What about the rest of you??
A North American Championship will be somewhat biased if only Div 4 shows up (not that we mind), But hey.. where's the competition???

(if you ask me, these guys are getting a bit cocky and need someone to show them how it's REALLY done)

So let's hear from you, Tiger Sailors. Come and show us how great this boat is supposed to be. Go to our registration page, fill out the form, email it to us, print it, then send us your money!

You'll love the location, the wind and the party...

Sorry but i can't make the trip. I am not skilled enough to be on a big line of boats yet. I'm still having controll issues if the wind hits 15 or more and chicken out. maybe next year

You won't be the only one at that level, and it's a great place to learn, practice and get advice.. solicited or not.
Besides.. it's a lot of fun.
Every event i've attended on the 18, there has always been a few 'newbies' on the boat, some, their first regatta.

so like i say, if that's the only reason, reconsider.

A big line is only going to be 20 or so.

If you do not weigh a lot I could skipper for you. I have had lots of big line experience that you can have for free. If you personally carry weight that would keep us from being competitive, I think you could get JW to skipper for you. I weigh in at 195. He is light and also has a fair amount of experience with lots of boats on the line.

I've put the word out up here that you and John are looking for a ride. I'm 230 and 6'4" right now, and my crew is a petite 15 yr old red headed fire ball that can't go fast enough, and has no fear. I'll be right at fightin' weight by the time NA's roles around.
Just about anybody of legal driving age starts to put my boat too deep in the water. :lol:

Time is counting down... 28 days till the early registration bargin price ends. So far we only have Div 4 Tigers registered. Is that who is going to represent the Tiger Class for the NOrth Americans? What about the rest of you out there? Scared of the competition? (don't be, i've seen them in action! :lol: ) Other things to do? Still lots of time to plan and it's a gorgeous place for a vacation. Too far away? wrong guy to complain to, sorry. I've travelled over 28,000 miles for 5 events to support the 18 fleet and the folks who put on the events. Gas prices too high? it is what it is... not much we can do about it. Double and triple stack to help the costs. Makes a big difference.

So let's dust off those trailers, and plan a trip to the 'Great White North' (no, there won't be any snow, sorry) and come and support your fleet and your North American Championship Event.

New to Hobie Racing....

So I am filling out the race entry and was interested to see that that there is a HCA# next to crew - do crew need to be Hobie members to race?

If so I am surprised - not even US Ailing requires crew to be members to race (other than the Olympic Trials). Is this just for NAs or all Hobie class events?

it is a recent requirement for hobie championship events only. Division racing does not require skipper/crew membership, only skipper. Championship events do.
If your crew is not registered at the moment, we can register them at the event when you sign in.
