| Post subject: | Sail Sand Point update |
Thanks again for all your support to retain Sail Sand Point at Magnuson Park in Seattle. We have been busy meeting with Building 11 LLC, The Mayor, City Council Members, and Parks Dept. to negotiate an acceptable deal. We are encouraged, but do not have a final agreement. We will again ask you to turn out at the City Council Meeting to be held in Sept. for the final approval. This will be the do or die meeting. So, for an update on Sail Sand Point this year, go to the following site for the pictures http://flickr.com/photos/28429843@N04/collections/ Last week was the Youth Hobie 16 Class, see Misc pictures. Note that Number 14 is intact at the rigging photo on the beach. Later picture, boys sailing in, standing up, 14 covered with duct tape. Result of a Tee Bone, earlier.
