This just in...Party at the Surf City parts trailer Saturday eve Nov 7th. We will have the BBQ rollin and the libation flowin.

Also, I just slathered a coat of paint on the trailer and had to peel off all of the old fleet stickers

If you want to represent your fleet, bring a sticker and slap it on! See you there!

I'd like a reservation for 4 at the party. Where will the trailer be at?

Will we be weighing the boats before racing? When and where will be weigh in and registration.

Jeremy's trailer will be at the Crazy Horse Beach, as will be the boat weighing. Get your boat weighed before registering. (Non-NAC classes - mostly H16s - don't need to be weighed.)

Registration will be at the Island Inn Conference Center. Bring your crew, because they'll need to sign paperwork and get weighed.

I'm working on the program & I'll try to have it posted on-line by Wednesday. It'll have a map of where everything is. Until then, here's a rough idea:

From Cream's greatest again - '...the sparkling waves are calling you to kiss their white lace lips' (fr/ Tales of Brave Ulysses). That is the siren song beckoning you to come and sail at Lake Havasu! Don't miss this historic event bringing back the grand tradition of Hobie Racing at Lake Havasu.

Trivia question: When was the last Hobie National Championship held at Lake Havasu, and what class? You need to go back a ways. Good luck, first to answer might get a special prize at the event, and if they don't show, then too bad!

Too easy Gordo. It's the ONLY nationals held there, and you can find the answer on the hca-na.org website. I even have a picture from it.

Too easy for you indeed, but you were not eligible re your historian credentials. I was just hoping that others would take the time to check it out. Nice job spoiling that, ya big know-it-all!

Don't forget - every night is KARAOKE night at BJ's Tavern! (after 9 PM) 1/2 price everything (according to Gordo)

Come watch Gordo sing for the ladies . . .

Gorgo asked for an answer. I gave it. I looked it up when I was between posts.

The year is easy. What was the month Rich? Obviously, some people have too much time on their hands.

Who said: 'Jobs are over-rated!'? I bet nobody has the answer to that one but me. Right Matt!

Nice pic of that Havasu Nationals. Looks like they planned it wrong there too. Too much heat and high-pressure, wind is aloft. Nothing but down-drafts and zephyrs unless the low has velocity over 20. Typical of the off season for sailing, being most of the year. Only 5 months of good breezes on that lake.
