Is HCE going to continue to upgrade the Tiger along with f18 standards? Or are the going to only upgrade the WildCat, essentially making the tiger a one design boat?

That probably depends alot on whether or not the Tiger becomes the new Olympic multi-hull.

Tom:

Does it look like the Tiger has not been upgraded to stay competitive with the Formula 18 class?

Since it came out we have seen:
At least 3 different cuts of mains
At least 3 different jibs
new rudders
Bridle wire moved lower
different layups to the hulls to add stiffness.

I do not know all of the changes, just these for sure. If you think that a Tiger is a Tiger is a Tiger...wake up. They are all Formula 18s though :P

I sailed my Tiger last night, Thursday, and broke my rudder crossbar...I am weeping. Initially I was mad then realized that, as much as I have sailed the boat, it did last a good 5 years. Better to break now than to break in the 75 mile Delta Ditch Run. You can see a simulation of that race here: http://vimeo.com/4532709

Later,
Dan

I asked if they will "Continue" to upgrade to stay current with f18 standards. Now that they have the wild cat what is the reason to continue instead of making everyone buy new boats. Have they made any upgrades since the wild cats introduction?
