I was talking to my dad last night and he told me about one time in 1973 when he was in a regatta at Clear Lake, IA. Apparently it was so windy they almost canceled the event, but everybody went out anyway and people were pitchpoling all over the place. I guess only three boats *didn't* pitchpole, one of which was driven by none other than Hobie Alter, Jr. :)

I wonder if he remembers that race? Image

I just think it's cool that my boat was in an early H16 race vs. Hobie. :)
