I just have to get my Wave onto the trailer and drag it across town.

I'm looking forward to meeting you guys!

It was an awesome regatta, even if I lost miserably. A big thanks to the eagle creek sailing club.

I'll second that! Eagle Creek Sailing Club always puts on a great party!

Skip Kaub took first place in the Wave class, and because we had the largest fleet (12 boats), he also won the "Mayor's Cup".

The winds were uncooperative on Saturday, very light. I tried using my spin-brella, but it didn't help much... I still came in last! But everyone who saw it laughed, and that's better than a victory to me.

I meant to ask about the spinbrella, does it really work?

Sure it does! You can feel the tug as soon as you open it, just like you feel on an umbrella in the wind. It increases the sail area by about 40%, so it's bound to do something.

Whether it's really efficient, that's hard to say. Even though I close it upwind, it probably increases the drag. If I take it down completely, I probably lose a bit of time messing around with it.

As long as it looks silly, I can have fun with it!
