Lets split the Midwinters topic into Midwinter East and Midwinters West.

Where do we stand on Mid Winters West.

Has Lake Havasu been chosen as the sight?
Have the dates been decided upon?
If not when will the decisions be made?

I would really like to participate this year but I need to start blocking dates on my calendar now.

Who are the deciders as to when and where Mid-winters west is held? I would like to attend my first Hobie Mid winters west if it is within resonable range of the bay area and the sailing is going to be good. I have enjoyed the Div. 3 racing this year and am lookin forward to more racing next year. Ryan H18 owner

To clarify...
There is no longer a Mid-Winter's West Regatta. There is a two-day regatta that is being held in Lake Havasu March 12-13, and I believe the organizers are using the phrase 'Mid-Winter Regatta', but it is not the Regional Championships.
The San Diego Classic Regatta (June 4-5) will be considered our 2011 regional championships.
For more information on past events at Lake Havasu, here is the link to the Hobie Hotline article about the '09 Havamega:

The Havamega site has pictures (I think) www.havamega.com

The wind didn't show (again). They got one race off.

Lake Havasu is cursed. Indian burial ground cursed.
