Woo-Hoo!!!

I'm digging the latest aviation forecast for OKC.

Saturday morning showers/t-showers ending, breaking up by 10 am, followed by cloudy skies and West winds at 20 mph, building to 22 mph by 4 pm, high of 66 degrees. 8)

John- I didn't even know you were there until awards.......We really should have to include our pictures with our avitars on this forum so we recognize our cyberfriends when we are actually in the same state.
Fun regatta, I sucked, but still had a blast. Best part: Hooters on NW Expressway, Ok City National Memorial (must see), 25 kt winds and rain on Sat with the waves near 4 feet port of the start boat. Killer wind, awesome. Froze my ass off on Sat, got a huge sunburn on Sunday, isn't that always the way?!

Chris,

Thanks for forwarding the pictures (my main leech is way too tight!). I know what you mean about pictures/avatars, had talked with Alan Ellis, new Hobie owner, and was looking for a husband and wife team...well, he crewed on his boat with another local guy, turns out that's who we were gunning for but they beat us and Alan and I didn't figure that out until this morning.

We put alot (but not all) faces with names, and learned bunches from all.

We dumped in the first race and know the definition of cold! I told Paul before the start of Saturday's last race (when it started looking like we were on Lake Michigan!) "I wouldn't be dissapointed if he wanted to go in", to which he replied "Hell no, let's race!" Chris told us later that Roger tried to pull that trick on her when she crewed for him!

Thanks to Fleet 131 and all the volunteers for providing us a great time and being so gracious. Will definitely come back, with more 297 members in tow. :D

I did a swan dive off my 14 when my trap hook was not hooked but I thought it was. I ended up turtle. That was the second race. I would have been cold ( I only had a shorty wetsuit) but I was soooo pissed off about flipping that I didn't have time or patience to be cold. I did shiver for about 3 hours after I got righted and jumped in the pool at the hotel with my wetsuit and shoes still on when we got back.
