Hi Guys, I am new to this cat racing. I understand that when going upwind the ideal thing is to skim a hull but when in lighter winds, do you stay inboard to promote the lifting of a hull? Thanks in advance - Crazysurf

One of the best in cat racing said this at the F-18 NA's.
"Flat is Fast", Mischa said that even in light wind it is better to sail with the boat balanced and flat rather than cheat to one side to fly a hull.

Thanks. So we sit out as hard as possible until overpowered and then control it to skimming a hull.
