The finishes are not close. Today, in the one race we had (too windy and cold), he had a 2 minute lead in a 47 minute race.

Pointing higher and sailing faster. Also sailing smarter when it comes to the current (lots of it in SF Bay).

He must of found a new gear, as he was not this dominant in Kingston. I was feeling pretty good there as I beat him to A mark in a couple races.
What I noticed was he was very quick down wind. He was much more active with his mainsheet .also his boat trim on all points of sail was perfect.
