Anyone else using raceqs yet? I see some tacking drills in my near future.

This is cool!

Not bad..

I took a friend out the other day and the wind totally died.. So we played the trap game. The crew would shift to keep the boat upright and run the stop watch.. The idea was time started when skippers back was in the water, and stopped when fully trapped in good form on the other side. e. Moving faster didn't help. It was all about efficiency of movement, at least for us clowns.

We started in the 7-8 second range, and had it dialed in to just barely more than 4 seconds by the time we were done. This was just passing the tiller with little regard for boat steerage/control, or exact main sheet trim, but I still don't think it was to bad for a 6'5" klutz trying to squeeze under the boom.

I can't wait to take the regular crew out soon and bust out 20-30 tacks or so and check out the polars combined with the video..

Yes. We are asking our skippers to use the app for club events and working with coaches to use it as a training aid. Very Cool stuff! (It shows me how much I have to learn).

It is cool Ron! Fred and I have been using it and it's awesome. Great to analyze where your making mistakes so you can work on them...

I am getting serious about this now.

I have a junk H16 which mounts right up on this.. In the video it is being controled via remote, the plan is a couple micro switches on the rudder castings. Heel is controlled via electric jack and remote also.

Hopefully I'll get the hole dug and a little concrete poured today.
