We have heard musings about the MWE being held in Pensacola Beach. Can anyone confirm or deny this and if true.... What are the dates |

Tom Division 8 has submitted a bid to the HCA to host the 2016 Mid-winters at Davis Island Yacht Club in Tampa Bay. The dates are March the 4th - 6th. We are still finalizing some details. I believe Division 15 is also organizing a regatta in the spring (April) to be held at the new site of the Pensacola Yacht Club. With these two regattas, and Tradewinds in January and Charlotte Harbor in February, there will be a major regatta every month in Florida to start the year. Gonna be a good winter sailing in Florida, hope to see you down here. Fred |

Hobie Midwiters East I is Mar 4-6 2016 at Davis Island Yacht Club Tampa FL. Lets see if we can get a dozen 18's to attend. I know there are that many of you out there |

hey Hobie 911.. I won't be able to be there ..... couldn't get much further away... (near Vancouver, BC) but I hope you and all the other H18 sailors will join us this year at the US Sailing multi hull Championships (Alter Cup). It is being sailed on the H18 at Carlyle Lake, Ill.... in August... Combined with the H17 NA's, this should be a great fun event.... Also, happening in October is the H18/ H16 Na's in mexico... 2 great events for the H18 fleet this year in different parts of the country.... |

Carlyle Lake looks like a great venue. About 16 hrs away for me, I will keep it in mind. Com' on the rest of you 18'ers, we need more boats to attend MWE in Tampa only 2 weeks to go. The weather here in Florida is great this time of year. Jim. |
