Well, first I would like to thank those who responded. Sorry I'm late getting back. It sounds as though the beach trailer idea, that works so well with the Hobie 16, is not feasible with the trifoiler.

Now, I find myself going back to my original plan, which would be to have a modular floating dock that would be moored on a small beach, but would support the trifoiler and would allow me to rig it on the dock and then roll it off. Of course I would remove the sails, stabilizers, and the hydrofoils, but leave everything else there.

What I thought about doing was getting an 18 x 18 modular floating dock with a roller and a winch. The water is very shallow, less than a foot and it would basically be run aground on a very small beach on a small lake. Waves are not significant.

Has anyone tried this or are there other reasons why this is not a good idea?

Thanks,
Graham

Why don´t you use a beach dolly that you easily push under the boat if in the water an pul it out with a winsh (an electric one, maybe... ?
