The issue is the number of rivets. The 2 rivet post is OK, the 4 rivet post has the problem. By drilling and inserting 4 rivets, to much of the material was removed making it weaker.
Charlie yup, mine has the old 4 rivet post I didn't see a way to check corrosion on the inside though guess you just wait til it breaks? |
