Has anyone tried creating an aluminum transom across the 2 hulls so an outboard could be mounted?

This would provide an additional option for 2 surfers, 2 boards, provisions and water to launch off the beach and daytrip those areas unavailable by road.

I would like to know this myself

maybe somebody has an idea
I was thinking a trolling motor could be bolted flat on the top rear of one of the pontoons... but I don't want a battery in the boat
