The next phase of restoring our camp's Bravos is to replace the lost battens. Battens number 1 and 2 are currently on back order, but the dealer shipped us the batten caps while we were waiting. While ordering, it was suggested that we get both leech and luff caps. Now I'm looking at the other battens we have, and they don't have any luff caps. There is a luff protector sewn into the batten pockets. Are these luff caps necessary, or are they redundant?
