I live on a creek that leads to a larger river, separated by a low bridge (15' clearance). If I launched a Bravo from my house and sailed the creek and wanted to sail in the river, I need to go under the bridge. Is it possible to manually lower the mast while on the water, lay it across the hull, paddle the Bravo about 50 feet and then re-raise the mast? In other words, is it possible to take off and reattach the mast while the boat is in the water and floating while staying on the boat, or is it too unstable to do this? Thanks for your help. |

Might be easier to do a capsize or a near capsize, walk or swim the Bravo under the bridge, then carry on sailing in the large river. |

Plenty stable I think. Try it close to shore with help near by. |

I've had the mast keeper fail on me whilst sailing (another story). I found raising the mast relatively easy given the weight on the water. I guess it depends on how fit/strong you are. Easy enough to try before you venture out |
