Am all in on the new Bravo! I was a little worried that my size and the lake on which I will be sailing would combine to make for an extreme case of buyer's remorse, but it has been nothing short of a blast. Now, my competitive juices are flowing and I am wondering what insturments, if any, people are using on their Bravo for knot speed, compass and wind direction. Is there anything on the market specifically made to be fitted to the Bravo? Or should I just be looking for a quality/H2O proof GPS to strap to the stanchion? What is working for people? I know I cannot be the only former competitive sailor rarely sails, but is always racing.

Nothing specific for the bravo. Any small sailboat shop should be able to help you choose appropriate accessories.

Cheap GPS with a strap works fine. I usually put it on one of the foot straps.

I'd like to get some feedback on the cheap GPS (puck) that works. I have a SkyRC device
http://www.skyrc.com/index.php?route=pr ... duct_id=43
This will record max speed, and although not H2O proof, but can keep it in a Ziploc and should read from inside the hatch. I have not tested it yet, but works well in the car. I will report back when I've used it for real.

What other brands are there out there that folks have had good experience with?

BTW... talking $50 - $60. But the readout is small and hard to see real-time. (but you get altitude, lat long, and google map synchronization)
