Hi
Purchased second hand Bravo and sailed it for the first time today and had a ball!
However I broke one of the lifting handles (Hobie - Handle - Lifting '08 (Web - B - 71190021)) the one with plastic screw in plugs each end (are there different types?). Can anyone provide any information of what tool is needed to remove and replace these plugs? And any help on how to replace them (ie is it easy? etc.).
Many thanks

If anyone out there has this information, I would very much appreciate hearing the answer.

Your dealer can help you with the (some people just use needle nose pliers to get them out - it's pretty easy, they just un-thread)

Just as Jbernier suggested I used needle nose pliers - once they began to move you can typically screw by hand.

Thank you very much. I have a bit of Lennie syndrome and have learned to ask before working with anything plastic. The help is much appreciated.

I would recommend you buy the tool. It's super cheap like $7 and to me avoids $20 worth aggravation plus you don't have to worry about scratching the deck with pliers if you slip. Worked great for me.

My handle tore at the deck. Can I just remove the excess and re-connect it (albeit just a bit shorter)?

I don't think they make this part anymore.

If anyone knows for sure, please let me know.
