Post subject:  repairs underway

Its been quiet on the 21 board so thought i would start the story of repairing # 378, after a long winter sleep, i took hulls off crossbars and have port hull in the barn on the horses, got half the old stripes off , and cut open the bottom at the rear wing tube. I have been takeing pictures so will post if any one wants to see the inside of boat, the ice had frozen in tube and because the wing was tied to boat it pushed the bottom of wing socket through the little cup in botom of tube and then that must have filled with water and ice and pushed through the bottom of boat. so now that i can see the extent of damage i will rebuild the bottom of socket, then rebuild bottom of boat then cut hole and reinforce wing tube sides and install new inspection acess hatch , then repair other three wings, touchup gelcoat, wetsand , buff, and wax and reassemble for sailing next weekend?
i love the smell of fiberglass in the morning...
i purchased a used smyth , mylar mainsail off beachcats website, looks like new, so now am haveing jib made, and I will have sails ...

We all benefit from pictures of repairs. Please post.

I have not had the boat out this spring yet as this CRAPPY Seattle weather sucks! We have had one day, last Friday, above 70 degrees for over 200 days!!!! I can not get my crew motivated to get into 57 degree water and not much warmer air temps!

Hopefully the sun will come out in July.

Sorry for the negativity!
