CaptainAndy, A sportcruiser has the same hulls but is narrower and has a shorter mast(Hobie 18). Beware, there are some SE's out there with the shorter mast, probably because the 33' mast is highly sought after, as in hard to get. Further, always check the wingholes for leakage, take the thing for a ride, just to be sure al the hardware is there, and the bolts still fit properly.Check if the tramps are faded and the stitch thread is loose or gone(I have seen that before),that probably needs to be replaced then, especially here in sunny florida. Check the centreboards for wear on the lower tip, and check the hulls for punctures thoroughly. Good luck!
