I'm looking for a taper pin if anyone has one to sell.

Had a bad weekend with a stuck jib sheet cleat during a tack this weekend and got flipped. I saw it happening but before I could even yell out to my crew the puff hit and we were on our side. Worst part is turtled in about 30' of water so the mast quickly got stuck in the mud. I had to let loose the forestay and then get dragged into shallower water. Then I took everything off and hauled it to shore. By then too much water in the hulls for us to flip it over so gave up and pulled the crossbar pins. Very lucky everything worked out with no injuries and no boat damage other than the mast step ball, lost jib clew blocks, trap shockcords, and we dropped one of the taper pins when removing it.

If you can remove the pin from the other side, run it in to any little machine shop in your area and they can make one for you.
Have you checked with Matt to see if Hobie can ship you one?

I have limited access to two Hobie 21SE parts boats , but logistically a bit of a nightmare to pull off :? ....so I may end up with an extra entire boat and all but the hulls for the second boat.......who needs what? :)

I need a taper pin. I also bent my ball step bolt a little bit but the nut still can be taken off so it's not really bad. Hobie has ball step bolt in stock but $$$.

Wouldn't mind various parts for spares depending on the condition and price like ball step bolt, boom, comptip, wing frame, rear spar, spinnaker setup.

I'm in Dallas so I might could make a drive down and help you take it apart.

My buddy's brother will look for those taper pins from that extra parts boat ( no hulls but everything else) located north of Boston.....Hang in there KRavEN and send me your address and # so we can get those to you. :P

The mast from that parts boats by Boston needs to get down to Florida's panhandle to make the other boat whole again..... :) and that boat may be available for sale.

The other parts may end up here in Southern Indiana at my home and will be made available to whoever needs what... :D let's keep these boats on the water! :P

So we need to overcome the logistics problems first before anything really can move forward.

Hopefully my network of Hobie sailors can chime in with any help.......
