Last weekend while my Hobie 21 SE was anchored out in front of my cottage the pin that connects the side stay to the boat went missing .... I don't know how this was possible because it had a double looped ring and was also stretch sail taped in??? Anyway when the mast fell with sail up... it bent my post( 30140001 ) over and broke the ball ( 30110001 ).
I have looked on line to find these parts but for some reason can't find them... Can someone tell me where I can buy these???

post( 30140001 )

Hobie Mast Step Ball for Getaway, Hobie 20 and 21, Part #30110001
$21.39

In stock at STRICTLY SAIL & KAYAK | (513) 984-1907 | 10766 KENWOOD RD. CINCINNATI, OHIO 45242

These guy are great and have been sailing their 21SE since it was new. They are the go to guys for the 21.

Hopefully, your post bent above the forward crossbar.

So, as far as the bent post, try to salvage your by carefully bending it back. First protect the threads with something like a short pc. of PVC pipe and get a long pc.( for leverage) of steel pipe that slides over that PVC and with great care try to pull it more straight? Getting close will probably be OK.

Good Luck!

Fyi... you can easily see if we have parts in stock by using our parts lookup tool on our site. A lot of stuff is there. Once discontinued... and we run out of stock the items drop off the site. In this case... the post was there.

Easy to use with a partial description or complete or partial part number:

Thanks Bill and Matt for your input.... I think I am going to try to straighten the post like Bill suggested and if that fails then I have a backup plan to buy the new post....
My Ball was cracked in half so I will be needing one of those.
Since this is September here in Michigan ...once the mast fell that was the end of my Sweet Hobie21SE sailing for this season... I love sailing this boat and I am very lucky when the mast fell didn't break my mast or hurt anyone...

Oh well just another project to get accomplished by spring.

I an earlier post I stated that I needed mast parts... but I hadn't really looked at the bottom of the mast.... Now in getting ready for summer sailing I looked at the bottom of the mast and realized that the mast base casting was broken on one side and needs replacement or welding....
I have looked on line for the new casting but it is basically not available....
Does anyone have a spare one off a broken mast or does anyone know where I can buy one?

Looking forward to summer sailing where I can spend the whole day sailing and distance myself from others....

Stay healthy friends

Hi Matt
Thanks for the quick answers... I have tried many Hobie Dealers and no one has that part and they said it was unavailable....

Can you help me with a dealer that does have one?

Will the square piece on the front of the casting interfere with the way the 21 SE mast rotates...

Can I cut it off if it does interfere?

Would not interfere with rotation... there are no stops on the 21SE for it to hit.

It is in factory stock and they do have access to it. Except we are shut down and can not ship. We are working with lawyers to see if we can have a minimal staff for shipping parts. We will see.
