Is anyone familiar with the design of the Sport Cruiser's tube that drains the front of the hull through the storage compartment? I noticed that the tube in one hull has a fracture which allows water to seep into the storage compartment. It looks to be a built out of fiberglass and would be a very simple repair. Funny thing is that the other hull looks to have a slightly larger diameter tube build out of PVC. The PVC tube looks like it was part of the original build, if it was a repair, it was done amazingly well. Any chance Hobie build these hulls using slightly different methods? Thanks.

I have PVC on both sides. At some point someone cut a slot into the PVC on my boat to make it easier to drain the compartments. I never have issues with water in the hulls, and when some gets in it is always through the hatch.
